In May 2025, GLOBIS participated in the ATD25 International Conference & EXPO in Washington, D.C., joining thousands of learning and development leaders from around the world. As the only Japanese company to exhibit, sponsor, and host a speaking session, GLOBIS brought a distinctive perspective on purpose-driven leadership to the global L&D community.

A key highlight of the event was a featured session led by Dr. Tadahiro Wakasugi, GLOBIS faculty member, titled “The Power of Compassion-Driven Leadership: Insights from Japan.” The session drew nearly 100 senior professionals and executives, exceeding its expected capacity and reflecting strong interest in the topic.

During the session, Dr. Wakasugi explored how compassion can serve as a strategic force for organizational resilience, sharing insights from Japanese companies that prioritize empathy alongside excellence. He also introduced the GLOBIS philosophy of aligning individual passion with professional purpose through the concept of kokorozashi.

The discussion resonated strongly with attendees, leading to increased engagement at the GLOBIS booth and to conversations with leaders interested in applying these leadership approaches in their organizations.
