Overview

A free online seminar on redefining leadership, managing uncertainty, and finding your kokorozashi (Personal Mission)

In today’s fast-paced, unpredictable business landscape, leaders are constantly running just to keep up. But what if the secret to enduring success isn't moving faster, but learning how to step back?

Consider this: 41% of the world's companies that are over 100 years old are Japanese. What do these organizations know about longevity, resilience, and decision-making that the rest of the world is missing?

Join GLOBIS Senior Faculty Director and ordained Buddhist priest, Dr. Tadahiro Wakasugi, for an exclusive 60-minute webinar exploring the uniquely Japanese approach to leadership.

Discover the Visionary Leadership Program (VLP):

This event also introduces the core philosophies behind GLOBIS’s upcoming Visionary Leadership Program (VLP) in Japan. For those interested in innovative leadership development, we will briefly introduce the program at the end of the session and how it serves as a practical solution for senior leaders seeking to develop strategic judgment, lead with a personal mission, and gain fresh perspectives from Japan.

What You Will Discover:

  • The Power of Compassion: Why "soft is stronger than the strong" and how professional compassion sustains energy rather than depleting it.
  • Lessons from Centennial Companies: Real-world insights from Japanese companies like Ina Food and Kongo Gumi, who prioritize tree-ring management and generational legacy.
  • The Concept of kokorozashi: How to define your personal mission and use it as the ultimate compass for strategic decision-making.

Who Should Join This Event:

  • HR Directors, L&D Professionals, and Talent Officers are looking for innovative, experiential leadership development solutions for their senior management teams.
  • Senior Executives, Directors, and Managers at multinational companies who are responsible for navigating uncertainty and making high-level strategic decisions.
  • Leaders are feeling the limitations of traditional management styles, looking to step back, reflect, and anchor their leadership in purpose (kokorozashi).
